Sweet Surrender… The cupcake is the ultimate treat or so it was when I left LA last May (food trends run rampant there, that natural yogurt with fresh fruit and assorted toppings London is just starting to enjoy has been commonplace for three years now). April 16th marked the beginning of the major summer festival season. Music enthusiasts, style innovators, and sun worshippers swarmed Indio California’s annual oasis of Coachella. Not only does Coachella bring together the majority of the years best musical acts, but it attracts a huge range of styled characters making it the perfect place for people watching; one of my favorite past times. After spending a summer volunteering in Zambia I returned feeling much more appreciative of my belongings and desperate to continue aiding the less fortunate from home. Much to my boyfriend’s dismay, most of my all time favourite films include J.Lo in a starring role – Maid in Manhattan, The Wedding Planner, Monster In Law – to me, there is simply nothing better than curling up on the sofa, popcorn in tow, and watching any one of her classic chick flick tales. The sunshine is getting hotter and I am eager to invest in a complete new summer wardrobe. However I am somewhat bored of ‘pretty’ summer dresses and am desperate to inject some ‘fierceness’ into my wardrobe.
