Lilac, Lilac, Everywhere!

It is no secret that pastels are everywhere this season, however the most popular pastel; Lilac seems to be the most powerful. A purple haze has descended on catwalks, the high street and beauty counters this season. Burberry’s classic trenches have been reinvented in lilac and Versace and Dior presented sumptuous purple gowns on their catwalks, Dior’s strong lavender lids contrasted strongly with statement red lips and Michael Kors metallic mauve on eyes and lips created a stir; beauty has definitely gone ultra violet.

This shade gives a whimsical and fantastical feel to make up and the focus is most definitely on the eyes. Smokey lilac eyes have replaced winters greys and have become an ultra fresh look for this season.  Lilac is the hottest colour for nails too at the moment and can be found all over the high street.
